About WUA

Developing Quality Umpires

Welcome to the Wisconsin Umpires Association!

Thanks for taking the time to learn about WUA. The approach of the WUA training program is a blend of in-person classroom sessions (video and discussion) and gym sessions where field and plate mechanics are taught and perfected. Future umpires learn useful game management skills through advice and real-world examples; then apply what they discuss.

Most of all, students get their training from fifteen staff members who have combined for hundreds of years of success on the field.  We have trainers who work in  MiLB, NCAA, WIAA (high school), Little League, and a mixture of other competitive leagues. Some of our recent students have even gone on to a major league training school and been offered a job in the Minor Leagues.

In short, you will receive a premier training experience that is second to none in Wisconsin.  Upon graduation, WUA umpires will be able to handle on-field situations and manage games with poise and professionalism.
